Anti-leak
How to Prevent FiveM Script Leaks
October 1, 2026 · 7 min read
Leaks are the defining problem for anyone selling FiveM scripts. One customer reposting your resource can undercut every legitimate sale. You can't make leaking physically impossible, but you can make a leaked copy useless, traceable, and instantly revocable — which is what actually protects your revenue.
Accept the real goal
Code that runs on someone else's server can, in principle, be copied. Chasing 'unleakable' is a trap. The achievable goal is to change the economics: a leaked copy that won't run without a license, that points back to whoever leaked it, and that you can switch off in one click, isn't worth much to redistribute.
Make leaked copies refuse to run
The single most effective step is to never ship readable source. When your resource is a signed loader plus an encrypted bundle, a copied folder has nothing to execute without valid authorization. The leaker can share the folder all they want; it won't load your protected code on an unlicensed server.
Bind licenses to servers
IP binding stops the most common casual leak: someone handing their key to a friend. A license tied to specific server IPs won't authorize a different machine, so a shared key fails where it's misused.
Trace leaks to their source
Per-license delivery makes copies distinguishable. When a leaked build surfaces, that distinction lets you attribute it to the license it came from. Watermarking strengthens this further by embedding per-license markers, so even a shared copy carries evidence of its origin.
Attribution matters because it turns an anonymous loss into an accountable event. Once you know the source, you can act — and other customers know that leaking is traceable.
Revoke instantly
When you identify a leak, revocation is the response. Disable the source license and the leaked copy stops loading your protected code on its next start. No DMCA queue, no waiting — you control the switch.
Monitor so you notice early
Usage monitoring and security events help you spot anomalies: unexpected servers, unusual check-in patterns, or activity from a license that should be idle. Discord alerts put those signals where you'll actually see them. The sooner you notice, the sooner you can trace and revoke.
A leak-resistant setup with Trust Secure
- Ship protected builds (signed loader + encrypted bundle), never readable source.
- Issue one license per customer and bind it to their server IP.
- Rely on per-license delivery and watermarking for traceability.
- Watch active installations and enable Discord alerts.
- Revoke the moment you confirm a leak — enforcement is on the next restart.
Frequently asked questions
Can Trust Secure guarantee my script never leaks?
No honest tool can. What it does is make a leaked copy fail to run without a license, traceable to its source, and revocable instantly — which removes most of the incentive to leak.
How does leak tracing identify the source?
Protected code is delivered per license, so copies are distinguishable and can be attributed to the originating license. Watermarking adds per-license markers for stronger attribution.
What's the fastest way to respond to a leak?
Revoke the source license. The leaked copy stops loading your protected code on its next start.
