Obfuscation

Lua obfuscator: scramble your code, keep it running

Trust Secure's Lua obfuscator rewrites your code so it is extremely hard to read or copy while it runs exactly the same. Use it on its own, or as one layer inside full script protection and licensing.

Overview

Obfuscation rewrites your source into an equivalent form that is hard for a human to follow: names are replaced, structure is transformed, and strings are hidden. The behavior is identical; the readability is not.

On its own, obfuscation raises the cost of reading and editing your code. Trust Secure applies it automatically to every protected build, and also offers a standalone obfuscator when you just want to scramble a file without a license or IP lock.

For anything you sell, obfuscation works best combined with encryption, signed delivery, and licensing — so the readable source never reaches the customer's disk and a leak can be revoked and traced.

Key benefits

Same behavior, harder to read

Your obfuscated Lua runs identically. Renaming, restructuring, and string hiding make it costly to reverse or copy.

Automatic on every build

Protected FiveM and Lua builds are obfuscated for you before delivery — client, server, and shared code.

Standalone mode

Just need to scramble a file? Paste or upload Lua, obfuscate, and download the result — no license required.

Pairs with encryption

Combine obfuscation with encrypted, signed delivery for protection that a plain obfuscator can't match.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open the obfuscator

Sign in and open the Obfuscator, or upload a full project for automatic obfuscation during protection.

  2. 2

    Add your Lua

Paste your code or upload a file. The original never leaves your control unprotected.

  3. 3

    Obfuscate

Trust Secure applies layered transformations and returns equivalent, scrambled Lua.

  4. 4

    Copy or download

Use the obfuscated output directly, or let Trust Secure package it into a licensed, encrypted build.

What you get with Trust Secure

Layered transformations

Identifier renaming, control-flow and structure changes, and string hiding are combined rather than applied in a single pass.

Lua and JavaScript

Obfuscate Lua and JavaScript, including NUI .js files used in FiveM interfaces.

Part of full protection

Every protected bundle is obfuscated automatically, so you don't run a separate step for licensed builds.

Honest expectations

Obfuscation slows analysis; it does not make code impossible to reverse. Combine it with licensing for real leverage over leaks.

Frequently asked questions

Does obfuscation slow down my script?

Layered obfuscation adds some overhead, usually negligible for typical scripts. Heavier transformations trade a little runtime cost for stronger protection.

Will obfuscated Lua run the same?

Yes. Obfuscation preserves behavior; only readability changes.

Can I obfuscate without buying licensing?

Yes. The standalone obfuscator scrambles a file on its own. Licensing and encrypted delivery are separate capabilities you can add when you sell the script.

Is obfuscation enough to stop leaks?

It raises the cost of copying but does not prevent it. For selling scripts, combine obfuscation with encryption, signed delivery, and license revocation.
